The U.S. military is expanding military facilities in the Western Pacific with a budget of more than $11 million with an additional $1 billion allocated for Guam, Northern Mariana Islands, Palau and the Federated States of Micronesia.
The projects being funded will be the focus of the 2024 Guam Industry Forum organized by the Society of American Military Engineers, Guam Post, with the support of the Guam Contractor's Association and the Guam Chamber of Commerce.
Sponsors are being sought for the two-day Guam Industry Forum 2024 scheduled for Nov. 14-15, 2024, at the Dusit Thani Guam Resort. The event aims to bring construction contractors, architects, engineers, suppliers and service providers from the U.S. and Guam together to discuss and explore how collaboration will be achieved.
The forum is designed to attract companies throughout the United States and U.S. allied nations to learn how they can participate in expanding America’s military readiness in Asia. It offers attendees the opportunity to connect and network with global experts, U.S. military decision-makers, the government of Guam, and key local businesses, according to the website.
SAME touts that construction opportunities in the Western Pacific will exceed $2 billion a year in investments over the next decade.
“Being a part of this event is being part of history and your company should consider getting involved. The information presented will be the most up-to-date, available, and beneficial for companies interested in participating in this unprecedented construction boom,” the S.A.M.E. press release stated. “Get to meet decision makers in the military who will manage the design, construction, and service contracts.”
