Progress for the Guam Don Don Donki store includes approval of alcoholic beverages for sales and building permits for its tenants.
Guam’s Alcoholic Beverage Control Board will meet on April 17. On its agenda are the applications by Pan Pacific Retail Management (Guam) Co. Ltd. for various classes of alcohol licenses for Don Don Donki.
The licenses include those for off-property consumption, since a large part of beer and wine alcoholic sales are expected to be purchased as retail.
Also filed are applications for Island Lounge and Waka Sakura — a sushi restaurant — at the property.
The store is due to open later this month.
In the meantime, various businesses have been setting up inside the store. These include Lam Lam Tours & Transportation, which will have a counter like the former Tumon Central Air Terminal at the T Galleria by DFS, which operated several years ago.
Other businesses include One Coin LLC — which does business as Daiso, often referred to as the “Japanese dollar store, Auntie Anne’s, Maui Tacos, Infusion Coffee Shop, Olive Garden, Boong’s Café, Wanpo Yasuda Restaurant and Wanpo Tea Shop - all of whom have received building permits for their properties inside the $114 million Donki store. mbj
