The Guam International Airport Authority’s board of directors approved the ranking of offerors for its request for proposal made on June 14.
The board approved the ranking made by the airport’s Procurement Division during its regular meeting on Sept. 10 at the A.B. Won Pat International Airport, Guam.
The request for proposal was for the management and infrastructure support services for the airport’s baggage conveyance systems. The conveyance systems consist of the inbound baggage conveyor systems, outbound baggage conveyor systems, and the international facilities baggage handling systems.
The contract for the selected firm will last three years with two additional one-year options of renewal at the discretion of GIAA.
According to the board, of the 12 firms that downloaded applications, two offerors submitted proposals before its deadline.
JMI-Edison was ranked the best proposal of the two that were submitted in which the board approved the ranking.
Later in the meeting, the board also approved the issuance of payment of $23,312.34 to Calvo, Jacob, and Pangelinan LLP for legal expenses incurred in June.
GIAA’s Comptroller, Dafne Mansapit-Shimizu, announced in her report to the board that the airport’s year-to-date net income as of July 31, is $14.5 million; three times more from last year. mbj
