Matson Navigation Co. has given a $165,000 in-kind shipping commitment to the University of Guam. The contribution will support the transport of equipment and furnishings for four new campus buildings — the Dr. Lucio C. Tan Student Success Center, School of Engineering Building, Margaret Perez Hattori-Uchima School of Health Nursing Annex, and the Water and Environmental Research Institute Building.
In addition, Matson pledged $5,000 in annual scholarship support from 2025 through 2027.

Gov. Sharp Sakuma Ngaraard State donated 55 clams to Ngiwal State to strengthen and enhance its ecotourism program. The donation was formally received by Paramount Chief Uongruios Elliot Udui, alongside members of the Kelulul a Kiuuluul.
South Pacific Petroleum Corp. donated $2,500 to support the Guam Chess Federation.
The donation also supports the 76/Circle K Chess Team Tournament, which was held in September and on Oct. 5 at Micronesia Mall. The tournament was organized by the Guam Chess Federation, and brought together teams from companies, schools, and community groups in Guam.

The Todu Guam Foundation has partnered with Vitamin Angels to provide free vitamins for women in need.
The program will serve mothers, expectant mothers, and women capable of pregnancy through distribution at the Todu Guam Health & Wellness Center in Dededo and during wellness on wheels mobile clinic outreach events. The supplements include unimmap MMS, a multiple micronutrient formula developed through the United Nations, which has been proven to support healthier pregnancies and improved outcomes for children.
A global non-profit, Vitamin Angels reached more than 74 million women and children in 65 countries last year.
Jamaican Grill hosted its 9/11 Commemorative Luncheon at locations in Guam with a complimentary lunch for first responders in recognition of the Sept. 11,2001 tragedy.
TakeCare Insurance Co. and the FHP Health Center sponsored the Golden Drive, Guam Football Association’s 50th Anniversary Charity Golf Tournament. Proceeds benefit the GFA National Team Scholarship Fund, Victims Advocates Reaching Out and GY671.
TakeCare also sponsored the Make-A-Wish Guam and CNMI Run for Wishes held at LeoPalace Resort Guam and the Guam Fire Department’s 2025 24th Fire Cycle Sunset 2K/5K Ignite the Night.
Marine Corps Base Camp Blaz participated in the island-wide CANstruction canned food drive. The initial goal was to collect 250 cans for 250 years of the Marine Corps.
The donation drive supports CANstruction, a community event hosted by Be Heartfelt, and Tower for Humanity. Donations will benefit Be Heartfelt’s “Meal Pack Program” which feeds 350+ children weekly by packing and distributing meals.
The U.S. Embassy Office of Defense Cooperation, the Civic Action Team, the Oceania Engagement Team and the Indo-Pacific Liaison Office donated 300 military cots, including sheets, sleeping bags, and pillows for humanitarian relief to the Palau Red Cross Society. mbj
