APL collected more than $3,000 in goods through a donation drive at the Cost-U-Less Tamuning store in support of the Veterans of Foreign Wars July 4 picnic at the Gov. Joseph Flores Memorial Park, also known as Ypao Beach Park. Photo courtesy of APL South Pacific Petroleum Corp. donated $1,500 to Famaguen Galaide, a paddling program under the Guam Kayak and Canoe Federation. The program helps prepare paddlers aged 5 to 18-years-old for national and international competition.
SPPC also donated $1,000 to the Korean Golf Association of Guam to support the 36th Annual Budweiser/Korean Golf Classic. Proceeds from the tournament will benefit the Guam Gadao Lions Club, the American Cancer Society Guam Field Office, the Alee Shelter, and the Korean School of Guam.
In addition, SPPC donated $600 to the Guam Hawgs Motorcycle Club for its 9th Annual Helping Guam’s Children in Need golf tournament fundraiser; and $600 to the Autism Community Together to help spread awareness of autism spectrum disorders.

Brothers Brandon and Marcus Landon Aydlett and the Tower Team built a 31-foot scaled replica of New York City’s Empire State Building in the Center Court at Micronesia Mall from toy timber logs. The tower project is the fourth for the brothers and supported Alee Shelter, Victim Advocates Reaching Out and Harvest House, also Micronesia Mall partner charities. Island Training Solutions donated a $5,000 hole-in-one prize for hole #3 and $200 in gas coupons.
The Tan Siu Lin Foundation donated $2,000 as a cash donation.
Bridge Capital LLC donated $750 as a cash donation.
Atkins Kroll Saipan offered a 2024 Toyota Tacoma as a hole-in-one prize.
Pacifica Insurance offered $10,000 as a hole-in-one prize.
Sentry Hospitality LLC hosted “A Chef’s Story,” a five-course wine dinner at Capitol Kitchen that raised $19,233 for Special Olympics Guam and the Guam National Badminton Foundation as a part of the iCare 4 dinner series. The funds raised support free year-round training for athletes in Special Olympics Guam as well as assist the Guam National Badminton Foundation in developing local talent.
Atkins Kroll donated a 2024 Toyota Sienna HV on a one-year lease to Make-A-Wish Guam and CNMI, as part of its 110th anniversary celebrations.
Calvo’s Insurance Underwriters Inc. complemented the donation by providing the vehicle’s insurance coverage. mbj
