Bank of Guam along with Federal Home Loan Bank of Des Moines has announced that WestCare Pacific Islands will receive a $200,000 grant from the FHLB Des Moines Member Impact Fund. The grant was made possible through Bank of Guam’s initial $50,000 donation toward the Member Impact Fund to support WestCare’s mission and services on recovery and resilience.

SPPC donated $7,518.66 to St. Dominic’s Senior Care Home. The funds were raised through SPPC’s Community Fundraiser promotion, held across their chain of 76 Circle K stores around the island.

Atkins Kroll Inc. marked its 110th anniversary with a donation of $1,914 to the Guam Senior Little League baseball team. This $1,914 donation commemorates the company's founding year and will support the team's ground transportation expenses as they compete in the 2024 Senior Little League World Series in Easley, South Carolina, this July.

Bank of Guam invested $90,000 and donated a LED digital scoreboard at the University of Guam Calvo Fieldhouse. Installation of the new scoreboard was completed earlier this year.

Guam Memorial Hospital Authority bids farewell to Dr. Dustin Prins who recently donated a golf cart to the pink ladies GMHA Volunteers Association. The cart will help transport patients and visitors from the parking lot to the main entrance.

A community clean-up was held by the War in the Pacific National Historical Park. The Friends of the Park clean-up was held at Ga’an point on June 8. The Japan Guam Travel Association in partnership with GHRA organized a trash pick-up along the roadside/ beach side of the Tumon Bay areas on July13.
Equality Guam donated five progressive pride flags to the Sinajana Mayor’s office to replace the flags that were torn down on June 4.
The Micronesian Conservation Coalition along with its supporters raised more than $67,500 at the third Annual Ocean Gala held at the Hyatt Regency Guam on May 11. The donation funds annual programs that allow MCC to do necessary research into our local reefs and fishes, provide education for students and the community. mbj
