If you are among the 80% of the island that has had power restored, you may not have to deal with scheduled power outages as the 115kV transmission line has been repaired and was re-energized shortly before 7 p.m. June 20, according to a Guam Power Authority press release. The remaining scheduled outages associated with Line 3 repairs are canceled.
“The restoration of express Line 3 provides substantial strength to the islandwide power system. Crews will continue to work on the other transmission lines repairs, specifically Piti-Orote and Piti-Apra to provide additional grid strength and resilience. Please exercise caution while driving in these areas,” the press release states.
Just over 80% of Guam Power Authority customers have restored power services according to the agency.
