The A. B. Won Pat International Airport Authority Guam is conducting its Triennial Full-Scale Disaster Exercise on Nov. 15.
Officials said residents can anticipate unusually high activity and movement of equipment, including police vehicles, firefighting trucks, ambulances and federal vehicles, and personnel responding to a simulated aircraft emergency.
The Federal Aviation Administration’s Federal Aviation Regulation Part 139 requires that GIAA conduct a full-scale disaster exercise on Airport property every three years to test the Airport’s Emergency Plan.
The exercise will not affect the normal operations of the airport facility or any regularly scheduled flight activity.
