Small businesses on Guam can receive assistance to export their goods internationally.
The Guam Economic Development Authority announced that local small businesses and entrepreneurs can apply for the Guam State Trade Expansion Program (Guam STEP) through Dec. 18.
According to GEDA, the program will provide small businesses with export training, financial assistance for new to export or market expansion activities, and access to international markets.
The program has four components:

Export Readiness Program;

International Marketing Program;

Trade Promotion Program; and
-
Export Conference
GEDA will host an export conference to allow businesses to network and connect with export resources.
According to a GEDA release, the program was implemented in 2021, and is funded in part by a grant with the U.S. Small Business Administration.
