The University of Guam launched its five-year Para Hulo’ Strategic Plan, which will guide the university in preparation for its next accreditation site visit in 2024 by the Western Association of Schools and Colleges Senior College and University Commission, according to a Feb. 28 release.

On Feb. 20, the Superior Court of Guam denied Tai’s Bros. Corp. and attorney Zachary G Damian’s motion for summary judgment on their case against Seaquest (Guam) Inc., which does business as Seawalker Tours.

On Feb. 20, the Guam Housing and Urban Renewal Authority announced in a press release that its Guam Housing Study and Needs Assessment Report is completed. Commissioned in late 2019, the report was done by SMS Research and Marketing Services, a Hawaii-based firm, along with Guam-based PCR Environmental, Inc.

The Guam War Claims Processing Center held a ribbon-cutting ceremony on Jan. 24. The center will be open from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., Monday to Friday. It is located at the old Hakubotan Building across from the Tamuning Post Office.

The Palau International Coral Reef Center held its 19th Anniversary Fundraising Dinner Gala on Jan. 16.  During the event, over 250 guests came together and raised over $250,000 to support the Center’s research, outreach and education efforts.

The Superior Court of Guam on Jan. 16 denied TakeCare Insurance Inc.’s motion for summary judgment in its complaint filed against the Guam Department of Administration, the Government of Guam and the Guam Office of Public Accountability.
