The Guam International Airport Authority's board awarded bids to two contractors and approved the fiscal 2025 budget.
These actions as well as others were conducted at its board of directors special meeting held on Aug. 16 at the A.B. Won Pat International Airport, Guam.

Members of the board approved the a $56.89 million budget for the fiscal 2025 operating budget. That's an .7% increase from 2024’s operating budget.
The contract for IFB No. GIAA-C07-FY24 was awarded to Core Tech International for $20.68 million. Core Tech will install a bracket system for solar panels that will be installed at a later date, and repair the terminal’s roof once completed.
The contract for IFB No. GIAA-003-FY24, the preventative maintenance and repair services for GIAA generators, was awarded to S.E. Construction Corp. The three-year $137,140 contract will last three years.
Board members also approved Resolution No. 24-49: Issuance and Purchase of Certain Bonds relating to bonds issued in 2021 as ratified in P.L. 35-137 for the improved and reconstruction of the airport’s facilities.
David D. Tuncap, the first executive manager of GIAA, was recognized in the meeting with the board, approving the motion of dedicating a portion of the airport facility as the David D. Tuncap Aviation Business Park. A plaque will be created.
In the executive session, the board discussed a civil service commission case in the matter of Pan Sa Kim. mbj
