It’s rare that a company changes hands in the trash haulage business, because there is a guaranteed flow of work.
Trash trucks are on the road constantly, requiring a diligent maintenance team, and a full fleet of drivers.
Nevertheless, one trash haulage company has changed hands, proving again that any business is for sale if the price is right.
The Journal has confirmed that Lagu LLC, which does business as Lagu Sanitation, has been purchased by “a member of the Eun family.” Eun family members manage Core International Corp. and the group’s commercial and residential properties in Guam.
Core Tech declined to discuss the purchase price.
Lagu Sanitation is one of the largest trash haulers on Guam. Core Tech, the University of Guam and the Port Authority of Guam are among its customers. mbj
