McDonald’s celebrated the grand opening of its new Mangilao location on Dec. 14 with giveaways, games, performances from students at the University of Guam, and more.

Joe Ayuyu Jr., vice president and owner/operator of McDonald’s of Guam and Saipan, called the opening “the beginning of a new chapter for McDonald’s in our community.”
“This new restaurant is more than just a place to enjoy a great meal,” Ayuyu said during the event. “It’s a symbol of our continued commitment to serving you with the quality, convenience, and innovation that McDonald’s is known for worldwide.”
Ayuyu expressed gratitude to customers for their loyalty and to employees for their dedication. “Without them, this restaurant wouldn’t be possible,” he said.
As part of the celebration, McDonald’s presented Mangilao Mayor Allan Ungacta with a $5,000 check during the ribbon-cutting ceremony.
“So, as we cut the ribbon today, we’re not just opening a new location,” Ayuyu said. “We’re opening a place where memories are made, where families and friends can come together to share a meal, and where we continue to work hard to make a positive impact in our community.”
McDonald's of Guam and Saipan also hosted a VIP night at the new McDonald's Mangilao on Dec. 11. Click here to see photos from this event and more in our MBJ Photo Gallery. mbj
