ASRC Federal Facilities Logistics LLC of Fairfield, New Jersey, has been awarded a maximum $150 million “firm-fixed-price, indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity contract for facilities maintenance, repair and operations supplies,” according to a June 16 release CHamoru Standard Time from the U.S. Department of War.
This was a sole-source acquisition using justification as stated in the Federal Acquisition Regulations. The contract is a 548-day bridge contract with no option periods. Locations of performance are Guam, Kwajalein Atoll and Hawaii, with a Dec. 15, 2027 end date.
“Using customers” are the Army, Navy, Air Force, Marine Corps, and Coast Guard and the award was made by the Defense Logistics Agency Troop Support, Philadelphia, Penn.
ASRC is designated as a small business and a small disadvantaged business by DoW and is a wholly owned subsidiary of Arctic Slope Regional Corp., an Alaska Native corporation owned by over 14,000 Iñupiaq shareholders, according to its website. It specializes in supply chain management and logistics. ASRC has been awarded various contracts by the U.S. General Services Agency, potentially stretching until 2028.
In related news, multiple media are reporting the U.S. Navy wants to use the airfield on Wake Island for operations involving P-8 Poseidon reconnaissance aircraft, according to a contract solicitation. The Navy is planning to use the island’s airfield for two 60-day periods between Friday and Nov. 30 for what the solicitation describes as “Navy Summer Exercise 2026.”
The P-8 aircraft will be operated by Task Force 72, which leads reconnaissance and surveillance forces in support of the Navy’s Japan-based 7th Fleet, according to the solicitation. The scope of work includes airfield operations support such as extending airfield hours for the P-8 missions, providing air traffic control, fueling support and daily weather observations, as well as the administration of passengers, cargo operations and provide meals and berthing for up to 150 personnel.
Wake Island typically has some federal employees and contractors on the island, though it is officially uninhabited.
In addition, temporary waterway restrictions will be in effect for the Rota Banks near Mason Live Fire Training Complex located at Ritidian Point, on June 30 and July 1 in support of a live-fire training exercise, according to Marine Corps Camp Blaz. mbj
