CAPITOL HILL and TANAPAG, Saipan — The cannabis industry in the Northern Mariana Islands has slowly taken off but has so far raked in more than $600,000 in Cannabis Sales Tax and cannabis application and license fees for the government.

Rear Adm. Gregory C. Huffman said that “2024 is going to be a very exceptional year. There are a lot of changes happening …All of those are going to result in an increase in the progress that we’re going to make for setting the posture the right way.”

Guam Business Magazine announced February 21, 2024, that it is donating $20,000 to four non-profits in Guam and Saipan.
