Philippine Airlines has a positive forecast for its holiday season, according to airline officials.
The current passenger load factors for the first half of the year was about 80% and while that is expected to dip in the low season, typically, September to November, it is expected to rise by December, according to Bryan L. ANG, PAL Regional Head.
"The airline is seeing healthy bookings going to Manila, with some beyond travels to Philippine Domestic destinations as well as International destinations such as Southeast Asia, Japan, and Australia," he said.
The regional carrier recently opened a ticket office at the 2nd floor of the Micronesia Mall.
“We are very happy with our highly visible location and the very clean, warm, and comfortable interior that would surely make our passengers more relaxed as they plan for their travels with us," Ang said.
Airline officials also celebrated their on-time performance for the month of August. Cirium’s On-Time Performance Monthly Report for August showed Philippine Airlines recorded an on-time performance rate of 75.36% for 9,366 flights. That places PAL as the 7th most prompt airline in the region for the month.
Currently, the airline has daily operations between Guam and Manila.
