The Palau Public Utilities Corp., with the help of the Japan International Cooperation Agency, are installing power poles in Babeldaob as part of the $20 million plus JICA Power Grid Upgrade Project. Work started in 2023 and is expected to completed by 2025. The objectives of the project are to contribute to improving power service to residents and support reduction of greenhouse gases. Palau moves into implementation phase on long-awaited hospital relocation

Whipps Jr. convened the first meeting of the Belau National Hospital Relocation Steering Committee on May 14, marking the start of what officials are calling the implementation phase of a project that many say is long overdue.
