Ada’s Trust & Investment Inc. donated $5,000 to the Guam Chapter of the American Red Cross.
Bank of Guam employees selected five non-profits to receive 2021 holiday donations from the bank, each of which received $5,000. Guam recipients are Harvest House, H.E.A.R.T. Guam, Ayuda Wings for Life, the Ohala Foundation in the Northern Mariana Islands, and in the Marshall Islands, Women United Together Marshall Islands.
GTA donated $2,500 each to Erica’s House, Special Olympics Guam, Make-A-Wish Guam & CNMI, Rainbows for All Children and Guam Animals in Need.
In addition, GTA customers donated $625 through an instore promotion for Giving Tuesdays from Nov. 30 to Jan. 3.
Tan Holdings and the Tan Siu Lin Foundation donated $5,000 to the Saipan Chamber of Commerce as a platinum sponsor of the Business Person of the Year.
McDonald’s of Saipan donated $1,000 to the Saipan Chamber of Commerce Business Person of the year event. .
Team GovGuam raised $71,161 for the American Cancer Society in support of Relay for Life 2021. The money was raised through raffles, bake sales, and car washes, according to the Office of the Governor of Guam.
Community First Guam Federal Credit Union provided a Christmas dinner on Dec. 25 for Sanctuary Inc. of Guam clients and residents. The dinner was part of an annual outreach program conducted by Community First during the holiday season.
PBS Guam and Clifford the Big Red Dog donated PBS Guam activity books to children at the Guam Memorial Hospital during the holiday season.
The PBS Guam activity book donations were made possible by Dr. Shieh’s Office, Ordot Dental Clinic, Premier Dentistry, Raising Cane’s Chicken Fingers, Skyzone and Twinkles.
The 36 Logistic Readiness Squadron at Andersen Air Force Base sent two Reverse Osmosis Water Purification Units and five support pallets of water to Wake Island during a water shortage caused by a malfunction of the island’s water purification unit. The water was delivered by a C130 from Yokota Air Force Base.
The University of Guam Endowment Foundation raised $92,959 for its 2021 “G is for Giving” annual fundraiser through efforts that included a T-shirt collaboration with Opake Guam and a partnership with Tango Inc.’s Micronesia Mall Stadium Theaters.
Donations were also collected through the foundation’s website and on-campus donation sites hosted by UOG student organizations.
IP&E Palau Inc. donated $15,000 to the Palau International Coral Reef Center.
Surangel and Sons Co. donated $10,000 to the Palau International Coral Reef Center.
T Galleria by DFS in Guam donated $5,000 to Guam Cancer Care and $5,000 worth of toys to Harvest House. The donations were made in recognition of the store’s 50th anniversary in Guam and in conjunction with its annual “Give Joy” holiday campaign.
