The Hui Aikane Golf Club donated $3,000 to the Guam Shrine Club’s Transportation Fund for children. The Funding will assist children and a parent in Guam with transportation for orthopedic needs at the Honolulu-based Shriners Hospital for Children.

The Westin Resort Guam is selling “Stand With Ukraine” wristbands to raise funds for donations towards relief efforts for Ukraine. All proceeds after processing fees will be donated to World Central Kitchen, which provides meals to those in need within Ukraine, as well as those who have fled to neighboring countries. “Stand With Ukraine” wristbands are available for purchase at a price of $5 at the Front Desk Reception, The Mix, Taste Restaurant, and Issin Japanese Restaurant.

The Marianas Visitors Authority organized the Marianas Tourism Month Cleanups in the Northern Mariana Islands on May 28 in Marpi, Saipan and in Tinian on May 27 and May 31.
The Saipan cleanup was joined by representatives of the Japan-Saipan Travel Association, the Japanese Society of the Northern Marianas, the Marianas Visitors Authority, the Korean Association of Saipan, the Japanese Consulate in Saipan, Run Saipan, the Micronesia Islands Nature Alliance, the Northern Mariana Diving Operators Association, Northern Mariana Athletics, Salty Skin, and the Saipan Plant Center.
Mobil Oil Mariana Islands Inc. donated $25,000 to the Northern Marianas Pacific Mini Games as a silver sponsor.
Enterprise Rent-A-Car is partnering with the United Service Organizations in Guam to sponsor an Enterprise Day once a month for a year through the “Adopt Our USO” program. The Enterprise Guam team will run a USO Center through welcoming guests, serving food, and providing information.
The Enterprise Day in June was at the USO center at Naval Base Guam on June 29. Enterprise team members served about 150 visitors with local food from Mia’s Café.
Enterprise also will be recognized as a USO Indo-Pacific Region Mission Partner.
The FHP Health Center donated an ultrasonic cleaner for medical and dental instruments to Guam Animals in Need.
Bank of Guam select five Ifit Scholars, with each recipient awarded $2,000 to be used towards any four-year accredited college or university. The students are from Guam, Saipan and Yap. mbj
