The University of Guam’s Society of Emeritus Professors and Retired Scholars presented four scholarships of $1,000 to four students at the society’s scholarship luncheon.

The Palau Bureau of Fisheries donated more than 4,000 giant clam seedlings to the Palau Aquarium at the Palau International Coral Reef Center, to support the aquarium’s new focus to become a hub for student learning and a support center for aquaculture development.

Foremost Foods Inc. has entered into an agreement with Harvest House from April to support to donate 120 quarts of Foremost UHT Milk every month until December to children in foster care through the Harvest House ministry.
The Employee Engagement Committee of Dusit Thani Guam organized a donation of amenities and supplies for youth and children served by the Department of Youth Affairs and Child Protective Services in recognition of Youth Month in April.
The items have a retail value of more than $3,000 and included 1,000 toothbrush kits, 200 mixed cases of shower amenities, 140 extra-large pool towels, 30 hand towels, 25 bath towels, 20 face towels and 20 bathmats.
First Hawaiian Bank donated $3,000 to the Guam Chapter of the American Red Cross.
In recognition of Earth Month, each of the eight Pay-Less Markets store worked closely with the Mayors Council of Guam to identify key areas in the villages that needed their cleanup assistance.
In celebration of Earth Day, employees of Atkins Kroll Inc. and Morrico Equipment picked up trash around their compounds and along Marine Corps Drive on April 23.
As part of Earth Day, Atkins Kroll offered $10 for every used car battery brought into the AK Parts Department in April.
The Offices of Representatives Christina M. Sablan and John Paul Sablan teamed up to collect 4,960 pounds of household waste, yard debris, junk appliances, and metals during the Precinct 2 Spring Cleanup – for the second time. The Precinct 2 End-of-Year Cleanup in December collected 2,200 pounds of household waste and roadside litter. In total, the Precinct 2 cleanup events have collected over three-and-a-half tons of trash with the help of residents and volunteers.
Island Girl Coffee ‘n Quenchers partnered with the Roadway Adoption Program, administered by the Guam Department of Public Works in conjunction with the Islandwide Beatification Task Force and is committing and contributing the roadway directly in front of the Dededo Island Girl location on Marine Corps Drive.
