Jessica Leon Guerrero, president of M80 Systems Inc.; was named the U.S. Small Business Administration 2024 Small Businessperson of the Year for Guam.
The National Small Business Week Award Ceremonies took place on April 28 and April 29 at the Waldorf Astoria in Washington, D.C.
In May 2023, M80 received the 2022 Standing Ovation award from HON, a workplace and educational furnishings company.
Leon Guerrero invested in M80 Systems Inc. with her husband Carlo Leon Guerrero, vice president; in their shared passion for design in 2018. For approximately six months before switching to M80 Systems full-time, she served a dual role as president and owner of M80 as well as full-time brand manager for Island Wines & Sprits, a subsidiary of Mid-Pac Distributors Inc.
She has served as secretary for the Beverage/Marketing-Communications Committee of the Guam Hotel & Restaurant Association, as board member and treasurer of the Tourism Education Council, a member of the Guam Memorial Hospital Volunteer Association and a board member at the Guam Children’s Museum.
Leon Guerrero was recognized as the 2019 Guam Chamber of Commerce Reina A. Leddy Guam Young Professional of the Year Award in January of that year. mbj
