New businesses continue to open in Guam, with a variety of products.

SAIPAN — The Marianas Visitors Authority and the Hotel Association of the Northern Mariana Islands welcomed the People’s Republic of China’s decision to reinstate the Northern Mariana Islands on its Approved Destination Status list, allowing package tours and charter flights to the destination once again. 
 

Koror, Palau — From the Marshall Islands to Ukraine, to New York, to the Northern Mariana Islands, Web3 explorers and innovators from around the world attended the Palau Blockchain Summit from Aug. 26 to 28.

A chance meeting in 2004 has led to the extension of a new business service and strategies in Guam.

Parsons Government Services Inc. of Pasadena, Calif., was awarded a $34,291,600 firm-fixed-price contract for family housing replacement. Bids were solicited via the internet with four received. Work will be performed in the Marshall Islands [at the U.S. Army Garrison on Kwajalein Atoll], with an estimated completion date of Feb. 27, 2027.

From Sept. 1 Star Marianas will add an extra flight between Rota and Guam on weekdays.

The House Committee on Natural Resources will host a Congressional Field Hearing on Guam from 10 a.m. to noon on Aug. 24 at the Hilton Guam Resort & Spa.
