The cruise market is firmly established around the world and as regular fans of the form of travel seek new and engaging destinations the Mariana Islands chain is well represented on their itineraries, often as part of an Asia-Pacific cruise that includes destinations in the Micronesia region.
Mitsui Ocean Cruises has released details of its 2025-2026 cruise offerings, which includes stops in Guam and Saipan.

“For the holiday season, the Mitsui Ocean Fuji will offer a unique 10-night New Year’s cruise to the tropical destinations of Guam and Saipan, allowing passengers to ring in the new year in paradise,” the Tokyo-based company said on Feb. 4.
With a capacity of more than 400 people, the cruises will be open to Japanese cruisers from a variety of regions.
“A key feature of the Mitsui Ocean Fuji’s deployment is the expansion of departure ports throughout Japan, enabling travelers from different regions of the country to embark on the cruises more conveniently,” Mitsui Ocean Cruises said.
In 2023, the global cruise market recovered to record levels reaching 31.7 million passengers in 2023 — a 7% increase over the pre-pandemic high of 29.7 million in 2019.
