DPHSS: annual rate for sanitary permits to increase to $568
The annual rate for sanitary permits will increase to $568 starting Jan. 1 according to a Dec. 30 statement by the Department of Public Health and Social Services.
DPHSS said the permit fee will be pro-rated based on the annual renewal date of the permit.

Currently, the annual rate for sanitary permits is $468, inclusive of one to ten employees with $5 being assessed for each additional employee thereafter.
A revised fee schedule was implemented on Jan. 1, 2023 following the adoption of the proposed Rules and Regulations Governing the Issuance of Sanitary Permits on Nov. 9, 2021.
Fees are expected to increase again by $100 each year for the next two years according to the Rules and Regulations Governing the Issuance of Sanitary Permits. mbj
