Micronesia will see an influx of international flights in the coming weeks.
China Airlines will double its flights between Taiwan and Palau during the next months.

CAL will add a third flight per week in April and a fourth flight from July 18, according to Taiwan News, which quoted “Palau tourism officials.”
Flight occupancy is already at 80%, Taiwan News said, quoting Taiwan’s Civil Aviation Authority.
United Airlines has confirmed it will fly between Guam and Haneda.
The U.S. Department of Transportation approved United’s application Feb. 17 to fly five flights on the route between Guam’s A.B. Won Pat International Airport Guam and Japan’s Haneda Airport, closer to Tokyo that Narita.
In a Feb. 23 release, United also confirmed it will begin the flights on May 1, as permitted by DOT, and that tickets are already available.
United flies from Haneda to other airports in Japan, as well as to Newark, Washington D.C., Chicago, Los Angeles, and San Francisco.
United will operate a 737-800 on the Guam-Haneda route, with 166 seats, including 16 business class seats. mbj
