DHS suspends Global Entry; TSA PreCheck back for now
The U.S. Department of Homeland Security has suspended Global Entry, a “Trusted Traveler” Program that allows expedited clearance for pre-approved, low-risk travelers.

After a brief suspension, TSA PreCheck will continue, but according to the DHS website, “TSA and CBP are prioritizing the general traveling population at our airports and ports of entry and suspending courtesy and special privilege escorts.”
The Federal Emergency Management Agency is “scaling back to bare-minimum, life saving operations only,” DHS said.
Other agencies that are affected are U.S. Customs, and the Secret Service.
