Environet Inc. of Kamuela, Hawaii, was awarded a $12.56 million firm-fixed-price contract to construct Type-1 K-Span structures at Andersen Air Force Base. 

The Port Authority of Guam was among 10 Defense Community Infrastructure Program grants awarded by the Office of Local Defense Community Cooperation, according to a Sept. 25 release, CHamoru Standard Time.

Guam Chamber of Commerce chairman, Tae Oh, spoke to the Chamber’s membership on Sept. 23, again rallying support for the reduction of the Business Privilege Tax in the proposed Government of Guam Fiscal Year 2026 budget bill. 
 

Good news for tourism in Guam and the Northern Mariana Islands comes in the form of additional flights.  

A panel of economists and industry stakeholders said that Guam is not over-reliant on military spending.  

The first ever Guam Defense Forum brought together military leaders, policymakers, academics and community representatives for two days of discussions on the island’s role in U.S. defense strategy and the impacts of the military buildup. The forum took place at the Dusit Thani Guam Resort.
